The research of learning style preference, which derived from the field of western psychology, is about learning differences for each individual. In the later development, researchers set up different learning style models from diverse perspectives, such as personality, cognition and social interaction. Because of the diversity and complication of the learning style models, various studies on the learning style typology have been carried out, and researchers are obligated and interested in exploring the consistency behind the diverse models. In addition, researchers designed assessment tools for learning styles based on their own models. These models connect the gaps between the theories contributions and practical application in this field.It is found that domestic researches in learning style field focus more on introducing the western theories, but there are lacked of derivations rooted into their own instruction contexts, let alone the practice trials. Therefore, this thesis begins from a presentation of a global picture of learning style theories and analyses of its implications, models, and its typologies as well.This thesis designs a learning style test system under network environment to help E-learning. According to the theories and practices on learning styles in China and abroad, the system designs learning style questionnaires that apply to senior students learning by E-learning. Then, this thesis describes the system structure, function modules and the flow chart. In addition, it explaines the arithmetic for questionnaires. Based on the calculation result, it can provide suggestions to guide students' learning. Finally, it makes an example to show this system. Through knowing learning style of students, this system is to perfect the guidance of learning and improve students' ability of individuation learning. Then, the result shed light upon us to do some adjustment on the previous theoretical assumptions.
