The research discusses the development of sports education in kindergartens by qualitative and quantitative analysis, via the method of literature review, questionnaire, expert interview, statistics and so on. Qualitative analysis is realized through adopting conversations and the questions of questionnaire; quantitative analysis , through analyzing the situation of physical education in kindergartens, and the influence factors. The paper aims to help the kindergartens seek the possibility to improve sports education, with providing the strategies and theoretic enrichments to study of kindergartens sports.The research conclusion is divided into seven parts:1.In Taiyuan city, the teachers in kindergartens are almost females(99.6%), males only 0.04%. Young and middle-aged teachers are in a largeproportion. Most are graduated from the schools of infants' education(87.6%) .Educational background gives first place to technical secondaryschool (67.1%), high educational background teacher proportion is few(3.5%); without continued education, and their majors could not fill theneeds of infants' education. So the force of teachers in this field remains tobe promoted.2.The teaching aims are mainly to improve preschool students' physical quality, strengthen their moral and mental awareness, and teach them basic knowledge and skills about sports and exercises, but all these teaching items assigned couldn't match well with the ability training and society. Via analysis on the different contents of the physical education's purposes, we draw the conclusion as followings: (1), male students are more like to choose the strong-will training than the female; (2), different grades have different teaching aims and junior students get more interests in sports, and senior students get more knowledge and skill education and form basically awareness of sports. 3. The main teaching contents in Taiyuan kindergartens are composed of games, such as gymnastics, athletic (walking, running jogging) . In comparison, they attach less importance to skip and activities of appliance.4. Kindergarten sports teaching forms in Taiyuan City are morning exercises, infant physical education; infant outdoors sports activities and games. These forms schools adopt administrate teaching organization, and don't match it with other organization patterns by diversifying classes according to different sexes, different interests, and fail to carry out the distinctive and personal teaching methods. The best organization enjoyed by the students is of the students' participation.5. Most of kindergartens in Taiyuan don't put enough attention to RE and study effect. Most contents are physical power and sports technical ability, for the first place is estimating the valuation of finality teachers. The appraising system of students in kindergarten have less importance, short of the constitution admeasurements, but teaching knowledge and the ability valuation are hit by teachers themselves, 40% teacher thinking that their sports teaching knowledge is insufficiency, the ability are not strong, degree of satisfaction is not high.6. At present, kindergartens in Taiyuan don't uniform the sports teaching materials, almost kindergartens have no sports teaching materials and sports data. The teaching materials lack of feasibility and scenically.7. The space for sports, equipment and materials and funds in Taiyuan have close relations with the kindergarten categories. At present, the stadium field in Taiyuan does not meet the standard, sports apparatus does not accord with regulation, equipment, material quantity and funds are relatively poor.
