The Study Of Overseas Chinese And Modern Educations In Minnan, A Natural Homeland Of Overseas Chinese

This thesis reflects the influences of the Overseas Chinese to the modern educations in Minnan Area of their natural homeland. This paper is mainly based on the historical Educational files in this area, and the case study of PeiYuan High School, which has 100 years history. Through the study, we will trace back the history of the education development in the natural homeland for the oversea Chinese. Owing to these, we sum up and analyze their contributions to the educations of different periods of time, In order to broaden our academic vision. Through this study and reflection, we reach the following points of view; The overseas Chinese have contributed to the educations development in Minnan Areas ever since the middle of 19 century until now. Out of their warmhearted participation, the overseas Chinese have donated generously in educations field and have ever since played an important part in the area's education development, which also has become a most distinguished characteristics for the education around this area. After late 1970s, the educational donations from the oversea Chinese are still increase significantly. To pay a serious study and have better understanding this particular phenomenon will not only justify their great contribution, it can also be very inspiring to all of us. The aim of this thesis is to search for a countermeasure to promote the level of education in this natural homeland for the overseas Chinese.
