Research On The Ambivalence Attitude Of Undergraduates' Sexual Behavior

The ambivalence attitude refers to respondents can hold a positive as well as negative evaluation of a given attitude object at the same time.Along with the development of the society, people's attitude towards undergraduates' sexual behavior has added agreement dimensionality to previously oppose dimensionality.People's attitude towards undergraduates' sexual behavior can hold a positive as well as negative evaluation at the same time.Not simply agree or oppose.On the basis of reviewing former researches and consulting the psychological experts,the theoretical hypothesis on the Ambivalence attitude of the Undergraduates' sexual behavior is put forward. According to it,study 1 design a questionnaire on the Ambivalence attitude of the Undergraduates' sexual behavior after the open-ended questionnaires and the interviews with undergraduates,which is formed into the formal questionnaire,and the reliability and validity are tested out.509 undergraduates are investigated by using the formal questionnaire,and the effects of gender and age etc.are analyzed to explore the characteristic of the Ambivalence attitude of the Undergraduates' sexual behavior.In study 2,we used an implicit association paradigm to demonstrate that for ambivalent attitude,positive and negative associations are comparable in strength.Combining with the two study results,the main findings of the research are as follows:(1)The self-made questionnaire has high reliability and validity.By means of the method of factor analysis,the research finds that the Ambivalence Attitude of the Undergraduates' Sexual Behavior-Positive Questionnaire is constructed by 3 dimensions:positive behavior tendency, physiological enjoyment,opening sexual concept.Negative Questionnaire is constructed by 3 dimensions:traditional sexual concept,disadvantage factor,negative behavior tendency.These are basically consistent with the theoretical hypothesis. (2)Ambivalence Attitude of the Undergraduates' Sexual Behavior presents a middle or lower level generally.The order of the rating of the three factors in positive questionnaire is as follows: physiological enjoyment,positive behavior tendency,opening sexual concept.The order of the rating of the three factors in negative questionnaire is as follows:disadvantage factor,negative behavior tendency,traditional sexual concept.(3)There isn't any significant difference in Ambivalence Attitude of the Undergraduates' Sexual Behavior between the male and the female.As a result of comparing different grades,we find that the scores of freshman is significantly lower than junior and senior.(4)Results form a single target implicit association task showed that,in contrast to non-ambivalent attitudes,ambivalent attitudes were characterized by strong positive and negative associations.
