The traditional teaching reading ignored the cultivation of the students ' imagination , the students imagination and characters are restricted ,as a result the whole teaching lacks liveliness . In the process of Chinese teaching, most of the articles are literature works which include poems, essays, novels and operas. They have literary ,idelogical,aesthetic.We should be imaginative when reading the literature works: the works are the result of the writer' s imagation ,it's topic is imaginative. The cmbination of the two aspects give us much space for imagination .so reaiding literature works is the best way to improve the students' imagination . If we attach importance to the improvement,we can improve their ablity of reading,develop their thinking of image,enhance their art sensibility, cultivate their delight thinking, form healthy personality. Firstly, we can develp it according to its process ,to provide the space of imagination by creating the lively class atmasphere; to find the beginning of imagination by studying the text furthre; to expand its space by increasing more examples; to motivate the students ' imagination by combing the facts and creating the new images. secondly, different articles have different ways to develope the students' imagination. They have different characteristics, So the teaching methods are different ,so dose the strategy of developing the students' imagination.
