Reading is one of the most important ways of getting information and obtaining knowledge for human beings, and it is also important in English teaching, but reading proficiency is not very ideal. How to improve students'reading proficiency is the main purpose of this action research. By observing other teachers'teaching reading process and investigating the use of reading strategies employed by students, shortage of reading strategy is one of the reasons which effect students'reading proficiency. So integrate strategies reading in L2 instruction for about a period of four weeks in Class 12 Grads3, GuiYang NO.2 Experimental Middle School. The study reveals that the training of English reading strategies not only improves students'awareness of using strategies and reading proficiency but also offers the evidence for EL teachers in our school about how to teach reading.This dissertation is composed by fine parts.Chapter I serves as an introduction, which gives a general account of the importance of reading, the use of reading strategies employed by student, teaching reading process and analyze the problems exist. At last the purpose of research is presented.ChapterⅡstates reading strategies research at home and abroad in recent 30 years, summarize and analyze the results in reading strategies training ChapterⅢResearch Process. By use of both quantitative and qualitative research, the study intends to investigate the use of reading strategies used by students in their reading process and the correlation between the reading strategies adopted and reading proficiency. In addition, it aims at finding out the differences in employment of reading strategies between successful and unsuccessful students and finding out which reading strategies are effective for the students which ones are not. According to reading strategies training model(孟悦, 2003) integrate the effective strategies training in L2 instruction for a period of four weeks. ChapterⅣ. Date Analyze. Analyze the achievements of reading comprehensions which are taken before and after reading strategies training, by T-test.ChapterⅤthought and advice, brought from this action research.
