Cultivating pupils'humanism in Art teaching can irritate pupils'learning interest, develop the creating spirit and the ability to solve problems, form the basic art quality, develop the ability to appreciate the beautiful, enrich the emotional experience, perfect personality quality, and focus on human and society so as to learn the society. Humanism makes formal art knowledge and techniques full of living force and gives the biggest value and function to art itself.This article tends to have a detailed discussion on the development of humanism in the teaching of Art to Chinese children connecting it with the general situation of Chengdu private schools from theoretical basis, operating principles to practical ways.This thesis takes Humanism Psychology and Education Theory as its theoretical basis, introduces"the Need Theory and self-value realization","focus on students"and Chinese humanism education idea, emphasizes the improvement of self-conscious, advocates to be concerned about others, society and nature, and cultivates pupils'ability of cooperating with others, communicating effectively and living harmoniously.
