The Study On The Credit System In American Universities

The credit System first produced in the United States and has the ripest and perfect development form. The credit System of American universities has gone through the long historical river of more than 100 years from 1870s to the present time. Now, more than 3,000 colleges and universities in the United States still use the credit system management. The development of the credit system closely related to the ideological and cultural concept of the United States, the United States education system, as well as socio-economic, political system.The universities in China started the credit system early and despite the ups and downs in the process of the development of a number of significant achievements, there also exist many contradictions and problems. How to improve Chinese credit system, and explore a credit system with Chinese characteristics management model, which conforms to Chinese economic and social development trend.In view of the earlier development of the credit system in American Universities which accumulated rich experience, the dissertation carries on a more comprehensive, in-depth, systematic exploration on the study of the credit system in American universities, hoping to provide a comparable international perspective on the development of the credit system in Chinese universities, in order to improve Chinese credit system in the universities and provide some experiences. In this dissertation, the author makes a comprehensive and deep study on the credit system in American universities, and based on it, the author makes very important conclusion of the study, by adopting such researching methods as literature study, investigation, comparison and analysis, history study and factor analytic method. The study is hopefully to provide some reference for the credit system of Chinese universities.The article includes six chapters as follows:Chapter one: The author introduces issue's advancing, researching motivation, the definition of core concepts, researching approach and methods, researching scope and limitation, and the significance of the research.Chapter two: The author looks back upon the development of the credit system in American universities.Chapter three: In this part the author introduces the credit system in American at present and analyzes the characteristics of the credit system and problems.Chapter four: The author analyzes the affected factor to the credit system in American universities.Chapter five: The author analyzes the Chinese credit system development, the characteristic, the experience and the existence question. Finally summarizes the American credit system experience as well as to our country credit system development some enlightenment.The last chapter is the conclusion.
