Credit System is a teaching system which occurred in the USA in the 1980s. It has been mainly carried out in universities for more than 100 years. In order to meet the needs of market economy, secondary vocational schools in China started to carry out Credit System. To vocational schools, it is a new reform.This paper mainly expands the connotations, development of Credit Syetem, the background and meanings of Credit System in vocational schools. The author studied the Credit System model, scheme, curriculum reform, teaching reform, management system and gains in G Vocational School which has carried out the Credit System for more than three years. The conclusions are: the traditional teaching system doesn't fit the modern economy development, it is necessary to carry out Credit System in vocational schools in China, and at present we should choose Academic Year Credit System.Besides, the author also analysed the problems that may occur during the course of the reform, such as correct understanding of Credit System, difficulties in management, old curriculum system, incomplete policy and so on and the countermeasures for these problems.
