Objective:To understand the level of development of the students's non-intellectual factors and the relation to the academic performance. To provide the basis data for the College manager and educator to strengthen the students ideological and political construction work, and improving the quality of teaching and the academic performance of college students, as well as improve the teaching method. To provide the proposal of certain reference value for the College leadership leading the development of management strategies, teaching reform, and ensuring the sustainable development of the College .With a view to achieving the training goal of the utility of Medicine personnel.Methodology:1) Used a questionnaire that the level of development of non-intellectual factors to the questionnaire (16 Personality Factor Questionnaire PF)(16 PF)of Independent Medical College e of Xinjiang Medical University, in the form of the status of investigations, using the stratified cluster sampling method to select 2004 -2006-class college students of Medical Independent College of Xinjiang Medical University as a subject of investigation.2) Used statistical description, t-test, analysis of variance, multiple stepwise regression methods for data analysis.Results:1) When comparing the non-intellectual factors of the students of Medical independent College and the nationwide students's norm, in the motto, stability, and other 8 person ality factors of Medical Independent College higher than the nationwide students's norm, and in intelligence and sensitivity, and other 4 personality factors of Medical Independent College lower than the nationwide students's norm. The motto, intelligence and other 7 of the personality factors were difference with the National norm (P<0.05).When compareing the non-intellectual factors of the mail and female college students in the 16 PF'norm, in the stability, excity and other 2 personality factors higher than male students's norm. and in intelligence and sensitivity, and other 4 personality factors lower than female students's norm. The mail's intelligence and excity and other 6 personality factors were difference with mail students's norm(P<0.05). The female's motto and intelligence and other 6 personality factors were difference with female students's norm(P<0.05).In comparison of the different ethnic groups: motto, intelligence and other 7 basic personality type and adaptation and anxiety, mental health factors and other 2 personality factors exist differences (P < 0.05). In the comparison of the different gender: independence, and tension and other 7 basic personality, and inward-and outward-looking, professional achievements and other 4 sub-factors personality exist differences (P<0.05).In the comparison of the different professions: fantasy, intelligence and suspected personality factors and emotional and tranquillity of alertness, the ability to create secondary personality factors exist differences (P<0.05).In the comparison of the different grades: only doubty personality factors exist differences (P<0.05). Non-intellectual factors in the 16 basic personality factors: high subparagraph (≥8)have more prominent excitement, strongth and dary, low subparagraph (≤3)a more prominent intelligence, suspected and independence; four kinds of dual personality factors, inward-and outward-looking personality factors to the high and extraversion sub, four kinds of social factors, mental health factors higher than average, professional achievements factors below average, and create capacity factors below average, in a new environment and growth factors does not meet the standard capacity points.2) Through gender and ethnic to analysis the difference of two non-intellectual factors between the achievement of students and the comprehensive evaluation results, we found that intelligence of female students?independence of the Han students, worries? adaptation and anxiety of ethnic students is a positive correlation with the academic performance.And the motto of males, worries and inward-and outward-looking of females, tension and intelligence of Han students, intelligence and worries of ethnic students is a negativ correlation with the academic performance. In the new environment and ability to grow of males, create capacity of females, strength of Han students is a positive correlation with the comprehensive evaluation results. The worries and stability of females, exciting tension and intelligence of Han students, intelligence of ethnic students is a negativ correlation with the comprehendsive evaluation results.3) We could know through the analysis of different band of students: anxiety, tension, independence, courage and cowardice of, and create capacity factor exist differences between different groups (P<0.05)in the academic performance. Worries and stability exist differences between different groups (P<0.05)in the comprehend -sive evaluation results.Conclusion1) The survey is to know the status of the development of non-intellectual factors of Xinjiang Medical Independent College .2) To analysis the related between the non-intellectual factors of Xinjiang Medical Independent College and the academic performance, and the impact on the academic performance of students.3) To analysis the questions which happened in the relation between the non-intellectual factors of Xinjiang Medical Independent College and the academic performance. And to find the teaching method of non-intelligence factors of Xinjiang Medical Independent College students.
