The training of basketball reserve personnel is essential for the basketball sport development. Our country is in a period of social transition, the market economy is gradually replacing the original planned economy, the formation of basketball reserve personnel changes accordingly. The old training mode has been broken and replaced by various new training mode. The change of the mode is more in line with China's national conditions. Nevertheless, China's basketball has not been able to achieve a qualitative leap, the reasons are numerous. The poor training of reserve personnel is one of the important reasons.This paper analysis and discuss on the supply and demand relationship of China's current basketball reserve personnel training, based on the principle of supply and demand, human capital theory in economics. The research indicates that there is a shortage and idle phenomenon existed in China's current basketball human capital. We analyze the various factors in the process of the formation of the human capital, try to explain this phenomenon in theory, and provide the countermeasures and solution.
