The traditional enlightenment education takes on the important functions of enlightenment and training children to be good. It has been playing the key role in the ancient traditional education through the ages. Its teaching materials have become light spot and quintessence of traditional education and have unique glamour across time and space after the baptism and filtration of time.The ancient enlightenment teaching materials in China originated in the pre-Qin days, matured in Sui-Tang ,Song-Yuan Dynasty, and were at the height of power and splendor in Ming-Qing Dynasty. Enlightenment teaching materials were varies ,with rich content in Ming-Qing Dynasty, e.g. The morals enlightenment school teaching material, the comprehensive enlightenment school teaching material, the history enlightenment school teaching material, the poetry enlightenment school teaching material, the matters common sense enlightenment school teaching material, in addition, the training women enlightenment school teaching material had also been an unprecedented development; in Ming - Qing Dynasty. Cultivation, honesty, and study had a good development in Ming - Qing Dynasty. The value of my paper is to summarize the value orientation of enlightenment education, namely, the family standard, the moral standard and the knowledge standard, by reading plenty of historical documents. what's more, it obtains three aspects of current inspiration. The first is Construction and improvement the moral system of the modern family; the second is richness and internalization the moral contents of the school; the third is improving the quality of the people and building a harmonious society. So it has an important reference for today's family and school education to critically inherit and absorb the positive ideological education from the enlightenment teaching materials of Ming - Qing Dynasty.The thesis comprises mainly the following parts:Introduction. outlining the concepts relevant to the enlightenment teaching materials, and introduction the research purpose, the meaning and the methods of the paper;Chapter1. analyzing the social and historical background on the development of the enlightenment teaching materials of Ming - Qing Dynasty, and enumerating several typical enlightenment teaching materials;Chapter2. summarizing the value orientation of the enlightenment teaching materials of Ming - Qing Dynasty;Chapter3. Concluding three aspects of current inspiration, by researching the value orientation of the enlightenment teaching materials of Ming - Qing Dynasty.
