| Mathematical spirit plays a key role in mathematics education.In some way,the development of mathematics is indeed the history of mathematical spirit,which greatly influences the development of mathematics.In the late 20thcentury,Chinese government raised strategic policy to promote our country's development by means of scientifical education.But how to put it into action and how to raise the whole nation's scientific quality is really difficult to deal with.Some experts point out:we can make scientific ideas popular as following:*Make technology known to every citizen,which includes pratical techniques,new techniques and advanced techniques.*Popularize science,including scientific knowledge and scientific methods.*Set up scientific thoughts,scientific views and scientific spirits,of which we usually focus on the spirit of exploration,creation and independence,which presents the courage of sticking to our own scientific ideas.This article will discuss the necessity and urgency to train the students' mathematical spirit from the following aspects:occupational character's demands,also the demands from contemporary society and requirements from educational goals.By stating the development of mathematics is just that of mathematical spirit and the characteristics,author emphasizes that we should train the students' mathematical spirit.According to the survey among the students and teachers in some middle schools, we can find almost all the teachers are provided with mathematical spirit.However,they pay little attention to developing students' mathematical spirit,meanwhile the middle school students also ignore the importance of developing their mathematical spirit.So we must draw all the mathematics teachers' attention,meanwhile we also should make every effort to develop the students' mathematical way of thinking,which turned out to be effective.In a word,teachers should pay more attention to teaching students,making them armed with knowledge and also mathematical spirit.
