With the word-wide transformation of vocational education from secondary education phrase to post-secondary phrase, the system of China's vocational education has moved forward to the higher education phase since the end of 1990's. This system is characterized by its increasing scale, multiple forms of school running and the features of majors setting.People always want to enhance his or her income and to realize their own value by accepting education. There is an undergoing trend of popularity of higher education. With the obedience of the principle"back ward if not forward", a lot of students and their families are obliged to spend a great amount of time, energy and money on higher education. Individual or government should pay a lot to accept or run vocational education, including economic and chance cost. The income ratio of higher education in China is lower than that in other developed counties. What's more, the labor market of China is growing fast with a no-perfect market economic system, thus, many graduates from higher school can not find a satisfied job. People come to realize that even investment in higher education will lead to risk.This paper takes individual investment-income risk of vocational education as the object and with the datum from a survey named"individual investment-income survey of vocational education in Jiangsu Province", an analysis on the risk of investment in higher vocational education is made. The fist part of the paper makes an overview of existing researches. The second part deals with the datum collecting from the investmentigation. The third part makes a deeper analysis of investment risk in higher vocational education and offers the reasons for investment risk .And the last part gives some advice to raise consideration.
