This research intends to explore the existent English learning motivation and self-efficacy level of Senior School students. According to the results, teachers and parents should pay more attention to promote students' English learning motivation and self-efficacy. So that can make students get high mark. It can abundant the theories research of English learning motivation and self-efficacy. It will also help the reform of English teaching.This research mainly adopted the methods of questionnaire and interview. The thesis reports on a survey of correlation between English learning motivation, self-efficacy and proficiency of Senior School students. There are 400 students in two schools did the questionnaire. The date was input into SPSS 13.0 for analysis. The results of the research indicate that: Senior School students' English motivation is generally at a moderate level as well as English self-efficacy. External motivation affect male more than female. Students with high proficiency did better on study value and self-efficacy than students with low proficiency. Grade One students' English learning motivation is better than other two grades. The best time of studying English is between nine to ten hours once a week. There are significant difference on six pairs of English learning motivation and three pairs of English self-efficacy. At last, we found out that there was significant positive correlation among English learning motivation, self-efficacy and proficiency. Through regression analysis, the conclusion showed that English learning motivation can't predict English proficiency. But English self-efficacy can predict proficiency.
