With the fast development of scientific development, especially the development of information technology, the practical value of mathematics has been more and more emphasized. The academic circles of mathematics begin to concern about the usage of mathematical knowledge in solving the concrete problems in real life. So the movement of mathematics modeling is coming to set up the model, by which to deal with the practical problems. Implementing the movement of modeling has great meanings in quality education. This activity has come to a large scale in foreign countries, while our country only developed it in universities. People haven't paid much attention to the modeling in middle school mathematics teaching. So it is necessary to carry out systematic research on middle school mathematics modeling and its teaching activity.This paper is divided into five parts to describe the activity of middle school mathematics modeling systematically. The first part explains the necessity of the research on middle school modeling, the second part discusses mathematics model and the relative concepts of mathematics model, the third describes the thoughts of such model and its practice, as well as the great meaning in developing the teaching activities of mathematics modeling, the forth one analyzes and evaluates the practical teaching of such model, the last one summarizes the gain and loss of mathematics modeling, verifying the efficiency of mathematics modeling, offering some references to the reform of mathematics curriculum and class teaching.
