An Analysis Of Present Moral Work In Higher Education And Reserch On Its Countermeasures

Moral Education in higher education plays an essential role in both the all- around development of university students and the prosperity of our society, hence all authorities, especially Chinese governmet ever attach importance to moral Education in higher education. A set of policies from our Party and Central Government have been worked out to enhance moral work in higher education so that more talents who have both ability and moral integrity should be brought up.The status quo, however, is disillusionary,in which there are still quite a few problems, such as, many students are far more poor in moral accomplishment than before. This essay explores the current situation of moral education in higher education, taking Xianning University as an sample, only to find out that some drawbacks still exist in moral education in higher education , such as, lagging conceptions of moral educaiton, administrative staff's less awareness of importance of moral, distempered leadership, disadvantageous staff and conditions for moral work, cliche contents, rigid approaches, defective evaluation systems, students'indifference in self-education and self-discipline, imperfect cooperative mechanism from Universities, families, and society, etc.To the current situation of university's moral work and existing problems at present, this text, on the basis of analysing in depth the reasons, taking the moral work of Xianning University as a foothold,tries to probe into a new way of university moral work to meet the needs of market economic system and information age, by taking a variety of measures, such as, strengthening the team's construction of university's moral, enhancing the administrative staff's moral consciousness, building a perfect moral education atmosphere, actively promoting the modernization drive of moral content, constructing the scientific moral systems, reforming the moral eductation approaches, upgrading the moral evaluation systems and implementing scientifical appraisal, developing university student's self-education ability , and combining the university, society and home education strength to form a resultant forces for moral work. Only in this way, can we strengthen the pertinency, the efficiency , the affinity and the appeal of the moral work in higher education so that the university moral work meet the needs of market economic systems and more outstanding talents be brought up for our society.
