Golf is not only just a kind of sport, which can provide the participants a healthy and leisurely lifestyle but also is a part of a recreational agriculture in urban. With the development of the economy and the recreational awareness of majority of the citizen, golf industry is developing rapidly in china. As a newly developed sport and recreational industry, golf has a huge impact on the development of the country's economy and culture. A good exterior environment has been established by the non-stop growing market besides the requirements of the economy. However, there were lots of problems that needed to be solved in the industry. It's very necessary to carry out this research and expecting later to solve the difficulties that hampers the development.This paper is focused on the development of golf industry. Through comprehensive study the relative papers, the author depicted the current status of the golf industry both in the domestic and the overseas, as well as, the achievements and the problems that achieved during the two decades in China. Besides, the general analysis about the factors which negatively affected the development of the golf industry in China has been done and the suggestion about the policy has been put up forward. Based on the well analysis of the foreign and domestic golf industry, the author of the paper put up forward the idea that the golf industry in US and European is very mature, the situation in Korean and Japan is also very good, despite the limited resource that restrict the Africa's development. With the development of the golf industry around the globe, the focus point is moving toward Asia, especially China.During two decades of development of golf industry in China, Golf industry is now playing a key role in the development of the economy and culture. Such as, bettering the environment where investment can be done, boosting the relative industry, beauty the city environment, as well as, harmony the society's culture environment. But, due to the variety problems that we are facing with, the golf industry in china is still not good enough when compared with the overall situation in China, the problems of deficiency of management is obvious.There always factors, not only internality but also extrinsic that could effect a specific industry, the factors such as nature resource, overall government policy, inner business competition, and high-tech technology et al. these factors has been discussed and analysis in this paper. Based on the analysis of the factors that effect the golf industry, the author of this paper put up forward some suggestion for the golf industry that developing in China, which include boosting the research about the theory and technique, the adjustment outlay of the golf industry blueprint, integrated the overall policy and the market, promoted the education and beef up the high-caliber human resources.
