With the development of network technology and its increasing application in education, the Web-based Distance Education has endured remarkable development. Today in China's Web-based Distance Education, students mainly take human-computer interaction as the self-learning mode. However, a series of questions arise with this approach, compared with another kind of online study approach adopted extensively in the Web-based Distance Education abroad, i.e. Instructor-led Online Training. With this approach students study mutually through the interpersonal interaction in the network platform mainly, and it can solve some above-mentioned problems effectively. In this sense, the author has selected the topic and area of this research, namely adopting the Instructor-led Online Training Mode to design and implement online course in the network platform.This research is divided into four parts mainly. First of all, the author has reviewed the study mode and current situation of the development adopted in the Web-based Distance Education at home and aboard, analyzed the current situation of Web-based Distance Education in China, defined the concept and characteristic of the Instructor-led Online Training Mode, and therefore defined the goal and approach of this research.Then, the author has summarized the relevant research and theoretical foundation of the Instructor-led Online Training Mode, analyzed the training idea and method in the participatory training, mixed learning and so on adopted in the enterprise face-to-face training, and summed up the method of online course design based on Instructor-led Online Training Mode.After that, the author has analyzed the platform suitable of developing online course based on Instructor-led Online Training Mode, and selected Moodle platform to design and develop two online courses based on Instructor-led Online Training Mode: Application in teaching of interactive educational software and online course of the SMARTBoard interactive whiteboard, With these two cases, the author has explained the method of online course based on Instructor-led Online Training Mode, and carried on detailed analysis and study of these two development and design with concrete cases, have analyzed the design, development and performance of online course based on Instructor-led Online Training Mode thoroughly.Finally, the author has summarized and foreseen the practice in online course of Instructor-led Online Training Mode.The result of this study indicates that the Instructor-led Online Training Mode can reflect student's subject status and teacher's leading role to student's online learning in the online course at the same time. In this kind of online learning mode, guided by the teacher, students may discuss and study in coordination with other students on network platform, so some problems existing in the self-learning mode of human-computer interaction can be solved effectively. This approach may offer some research ideas and approach of online course design and implement for the researcher and practitioner, which will be of great help in not only research but also practice.
