Hometown education is an ancient topic, and under the globalized background hometown education is actually one ancient and the brand-new topic. Hometown education had more than hundred year of history, it by its own scientific theory foundation, plays vital role in educational development to the humanity. Along with the globalized arrival, the cultural hegemony's appearance endangers the world the multi-dimensional development, coming that the cultural multiple calls to be day by day urgent, and "the place" expression of claim also recovers the manner to accept. The hometown education is to cultivate the people to approve the native soil, to deeply love the native soil, to respect multicultural, suited ages to respect "the place indication" the demand. But the final goal of hometown education is not the raise to the local narrow localism, but is to lay a foundation for loving country and world, and the tendency of globalization have created the condition for the hometown education's global thought.This paper mainly divides into six parts. The introduction mainly draws out the reason of this research. Under the impact of globalization some outstanding traditions of our country are draining. In order to change the condition, the people want to develop hometown education, for fear that is also in violation of the globalization. To relieve this anxiety, this paper attempts to discuss the problem of hometown education at globalization. Was again has made a simple overview to research related to the problem of hometown education in our country educational circle in the past many years, and elaborates research method and the value significance of the paper.Chapter one narrates the globalization and the localization. It explains connotation of globalization and the localization, as well as the joint of localization and globalization—The global localization's trend of development, as to point out the development time background and the realistic foundation of the hometown education.Chapter two has carried on the definition analysis to hometown and hometown education's connotation, and has carried on the outline to the local education's scientific theory foundation.Chapter three mainly narrates development's history of the domestic and foreign hometown education, to a clear understanding long and short of the story of the hometown education, and to indicate the local education development to have the historical foundation.Synthesizing the above analysis, Chapter four proposes that hometown education must strengthen at globalization.In the end of the paper, the shortage of this research is pointed out.
