A Study On Chinese University Culture Construction From The Vision Of Glocalization

The university culture keeps a university with the time colleague as an ideological system and work system, reflects the long-history and the practical appeal in the university meanwhile. University culture is the important mark of core competitive for a university which is also the key power for promoting the modernization construction of the university. In the late20th century, the globalization turbulent trend has already involved university culture with the rise of attention to the theoretical discussion on globalization in the field of higher education research. The economical, political and cultural dimensions of globalization gradually become the background and impetus for our university culture construction, as well as make university culture in various countries turns out to be homogeneous. University culture, as a cultural sub-system, which take root in a particular country, region, inherit and develop the excellent traditional culture, turns out to be notable local heterogeneous."Glocalization" is a study paradigm, as well as a new vision, which carries out construction feature of university culture through merging with "global homogenization" and "local heterogenization".This study uses "Glocalization" paradigm as the vision. The object of this study is Chinese university culture construction. The background of this study is the process of globalization. From the multi-subject aspects of higher education, culture, management, and sociology, this thesis tries to explore the way to enhance our university culture construction, by using the method of documentary research, historical analysis, and comparative analysis. Firstly, through theoretical study, we perceives that "universalism of particularization" and "particularism of universalization" are the driving force for the development of globalization, and our university culture is the sum of sprit fruits and material fruits which formed in the long course of development of our university. Secondly, through progress study, we make a vertical analysis in historical evolution of our university culture, and make a lateral analysis in the present situation of our university culture. Based on this fact, we advance a mechanism of the development of university culture in the process of globalization through question study, which formed of the interactive combined strength from global factor, local factor, and the inner logic of university culture factor. Finally, according to the inefficient problem existed in this mechanism, we make countermeasure study, reconstruct global-local relation, proposing remedial measures to clarify the principal position of local factor in our university culture construction, construct harmonious university culture on the basis of "Global field of university culture", promote and fulfill university culture consciousness, and strengthen university cyber-culture construction.
