3000m steeplechase is the most difficult project in middle distance race, it not only requires the middle distance race athletes to have the fast speed, it also requires them to proficiently span obstacles and pools mastering reasonable rhythm to try their best to reduce their energy consumption. It is a complicate sport skill. Female 3000m steeplechase has been officially listed into the competition project of 2008 Beijing Olympics. The skill level of the selected female athletes of our country has the definite difference with the skill level of the world excellent selected athletes. During the process of diagnosing the competition of domestic and foreign excellent athletes and the skill of our country's excellent team members in the training, we find out the advantages of the world excellent athletes and the disadvantages of our country's athletes. Summarizing and discussing the individual characters and rules of our country's excellent females athletes in 3000m steeplechase and discovering the characters of some sport skills of 3000m steeplechase will provide the scientific foundations for the implementation of training place and will ensure the athletes to achieve the best competition status in 2008 Beijing Olympics and the future competitions.The recording data of this research is got via shooting the training of three female athletes of our country team in 3000m steeplechase and domestic competitions; they are also got by re-broadcasting Osaka world tournament. They are analyzed and dealt with by using fast video image analysis system compiled of Beijing University of Physical Education, and by the application of QTools Software and Microsoft Excel to carry out the statistics and treatment of data. In addition, the sport parameters, such as the time, angle, displacement of sport skills, will be analyzed and discussed by applying the sport biomechanics.This research gets the following conclusions: (1) The running speed between hurdles and the final sprint is the key of success. The excellent hurdling skill shall reduce the change of speed. Only the short change of speed during the whole process if the speed features with "both ends fast, middle process even". In domestic competitions, the whole process speed distributing of the excellent athletes of our country is "two ends slow, middle process fast". (2) In aspect of the third hurdle step of our country's athletes, Li Zhenzhu is the best, Zhu Yanmei is placed in the middle and Zhao Yanni is the last. (3) Zhao Yanni's adjusting capability before hurdling is not stable. she has better skill in striding skill compared with Li Zhenzhu and has the phenomena of flying the hurdles.Zhu Yanmei has reducing her speed before hurdling, the poor of jointing skill after hurdling. Li Zhenzhu is better than the front two, not only in the adjusting before hurdling, but also in the jointing skill after hurdling. While Li Zhenzhu pedaling from the hurdle of obstacle pool, she has the better skill. (4) Compared with foreign competitors, the final sprint speed and speed endurance of our country are poor.The excellent athletes of our country are poor in the capability of left and right legs hurdling compared with foreign excellent athletes.The research suggests: (1) Enhance athletes' capability of eyeballing the hurdling distance before hurdles and their ability of left and right leg hurdling and cultivate their good speed during hurdling. (2) It needs to improve and enhance their skills for spanning the hurdles and pools in running, they especially needs to master their economic and effective hurdling skill under the status of fatigue.
