Since the object of probability study is uncertain phenomena, and there is much difference with the traditional teaching contents in middle school, therefore the student there exists obvious shortcoming in the definition of probability frequency and the understanding of classical probability. How to do well in the probability teaching is a new problem that our middle school teachers must face.This thesis is on the basis of having referred to a large amount of documents, and taking "full-time compulsory education mathematics course standard " and "average high school mathematics course standard (experiment draft)" issued in 2001 as criterion, taking of grade 3 in Wuchang txperimental High school as the object of studying, adopting the methods of questionnaire investigation together with case interview. We assigned 8 problems from the following contents: (1) The understanding of definition of probability frequency; (2) The understanding of equity possibility events probability model (the classical allusion exemplifies a type); (3) The understanding of mutual exclusions event and the independent event concepts ; (4) The understanding of independent repetition, then we can evaluate students about the understanding of probability knowledge by above problems. And then, we gather the testing results, analysis the problem in probability study. At last we bring forward some suggestions about probability teaching: (1) makes use of the work testing and the computer analogue test, reinforces the frequency definition to probability preparing a computer; (2) weakens complicated calculation, reinforce the essence understanding of the classical allusion exemplifies; (3) discriminates probability model easy to drift along, similarities and differences understanding the mutual exclusion event and the independent event; (4) carries out a problem studying , trains student's application consciousness and the mental consciousness being innovative.The teaching of probability is a rich field, we only get a little preliminary investigation and discussion together with my teaching practice, hope that this can be worthy for studying further.
