Education profession is arguably one of the most stressful professions. In recent international and domestic research there has been data suggesting high instances of"Burnout"phenomenon among elementary school teachers. Due to the influences that teachers have over students, instances of teacher"Burnout"can have significant impact on the growth and development of students. This paper, using previous research from Beijing Normal University and open dialogue survey, investigated the current"Burnout"phenomenon and its causes among the 250 elementary school teachers in the 6 elementary schools of Xinhua District of Shijiazhuang. Further analysis and possible solutions for mitigating impacts of the"Burnout"phenomenon were presented at the end of the paper.Below are the preliminary results from the survey:1. In general, the burnout level among elementary school teachers in Xinhua District is not significant, however exhaustion level is comparably high.2.Marriage status is a significant variable affecting in exhaustion level. Furthermore, married teachers tend to have higher exhaustion levels than single teachers.3. Cynicism level varies depending on years of teaching. There are differences between teachers with 0-5 years of experience, those with 6-10 years of experience and those who have been teaching for 21-25 years.4.Cynicism level also varies depending on grade of elementary students they teach. Lower grades teachers have a lower score compare to those who teach higher grades.5.There is no evidence that sex, age, education and position show any impact on burnout level. From survey data, the"Burnout"phenomenon among Xinhua district elementary school teachers is not significant, which can be attributed to the preventive measure enacted in the district. However, the high exhaustion level does warrant additional attention by Xinhua districts Education Board. Therefore, this paper proposes several measures as follows. Create community support system to raise the status of elementary school teachers both in the community and economically. Form supportive administrative environment and career management program. Finally, create amiable working environment to further support the elementary school teachers both in and out of the classroom. These measures are proposed to achieve the following: continuous career development, mitigation of"Burnout"phenomenon and by raising teacher emotional well-being there will be a positive influence on"Burnout"phenomenon, while raising the overall well being of the teachers.
