The Situation Of Senior Politics Teaching And The Innovation Strategies On Teaching Innovation

With a new teaching curriculum reform carried out, as part of teaching curriculum, politics curriculum reform has come to a new period. In the past five years, what is on earth the politics teaching situation? What happened to the teaching aims, methods, assessments and the recourses? This paper tries to show an empirical study referring to a-four-star senior school of Zhenjiang, in Jiangsu province, which carried out observations, interviews and questionnaires to politics teachers and the problems related to the teaching situation.This paper shows two successes of politics class teaching in W middle school, which creates a different teaching situation, enriches the learning resources, activates the students'interests of learning and lets students have their own spare time and opportunities to think. What is more, this paper also points out the limitations in the process of politics teaching that the teaching concepts have not converted, the teaching methods are not in balance, the system of teaching assessments is not reasonable and the teaching resources have not been developed deeply. This paper also analyses the reasons resulting in the problems above as follows:1. Being influenced by the market economy.2. Being trapped by the examination-oriented education.3. The dated teaching ideas.4. The teachers'quality to be strengthened.According to these, this paper also gives us several proposals as follows:1. Changing the teaching ideas.2. Improving the teaching methods.3. Completing the system of teaching assessments. 4. Developing and integrating the teaching recourses.In addition, we must help the teachers to analyze and summarize the advanced teaching thoughts, throw away the dated teaching ideas, help the teachers to master new teaching ideas, which can make the politics class teaching different and we can further improve the senior politics class teaching.
