The Study On The Present Condition Of The Impoverished College Students Participation In College Student Association

The emergence of impoverished college students, a disadvantaged minority,is due to the implementation of the cost-sharing policy and the constant expanding scale of higher education.The Chinese Communist Party, the society and schools have paid sufficient attention to impoverished college students'economical difficulties, working out a series of policies and measures which ensure their successful completion of studies. However, the problems these students face lie not only in material but also in spirit, so universities and colleges should give spiritual aid when providing them with material aid to deal with various psychological problems existing among them. It is based on the fact above this paper attempts to find solutions to impoverished college students'psychological problems by conducting a study of impoverished college students'participation in student's association.For this,this thesis conducts an empirical study through questionnaire investigation and case study of a C university impoverished college students in Nantong. On the basis of the impoverished college students participation in student's association, this study explores the significance of Spiritual education to impoverished college students. a new educating mode is put forward with student's association as the educating carriers. Through questionnaire investigation and case interview, a discussion is made about the present condition of the poverty undergraduates'participation in s student's association in five aspects:constituents of the association,the extent of their satisfaction,the extent of their participation,motivation of their participation and the reasons they quit the association; an analysis is made of the value of their participation in associations,taking into account personal value,school value and social value;measures are also presented to encourage impoverished college students to join student's association in four modules:drawing attention at all levels, strengthening the association,organizing first-class communities and setting drive mechanism.
