Chinese Senior III students at high school are overloaded with too much stress. Therefore, the study of how to reduce students' stress in educational practice is initiated, in the hope of not only improving the quality of English language teaching, but also motivating English teachers to pay more attention to the mental health of students, which in turn, can make communication between teachers and students more effective. As far as the Senior III students are concerned, good psychological quality ensures their efficient study as well as healthy personality and emotions for life. Ultimately, the true value of English education will be embodied in the unremitting integrity and self-transcendence of both teachers and students.This study has adopted interviews and questionnaires to understand students' views and expectations in English-learning during the whole year of Senior III. The study also takes an in-depth look into the cases to explore effective ways to reduce students' stress in EFL teaching in Senior III.The paper consists of four parts as follows. Part one is exordium, which focuses on the introduction to the rationales, objectives and meaning of the study, illustrating theoretical and practical needs for this report. Part two is literature review. By drawing on the findings of the current research by other scholars, this part aims to provide a theoretical support for establishing a conceptual framework. Part three analyzes the current situation of Chinese EFL teaching in Senior III by probing into its problems and influences they have on Senior III students, which indicates the practical significance of this study. Part four describes the whole process of the study, that is, how the author of this report worked to reduce students' stress through specified teaching styles, and methods. The conclusion of this report in the last chapter presents suggestions backed by the results of the study, hoping to help students of Senior III reduce stress.
