The 21 st century is a time of information, knowledge and economic, asking for a person, a company and even a country must constantly innovate, so training the students' creative thinking is the sacred mission of education. The cultivation of creative thinking, first of all, needs to foster students' awareness of the problem, to train them to dare to ask questions and foster their study habits of diligent thought, Aristotle said: "creative thinking start from surprise and doubt." No doubt no thought, no thought no grasp , no grasp no proficient. Most of the current basic education is still based on knowledge-teaching, which do not meet the requirements of the new curriculum standards. Therefore, breaking the traditional teaching model and establishing an active open teaching model instead, it is a significant work to train talented people. The research of "question-based teaching approach" was borned from the the current new courses, the new curriculum standards and the new situation. This paper, under the new curriculum standards for high school chemistry teaching requirements, worked out such a relative new type of teaching model, "question-based teaching approach". On the basis of learning predecessors' experiences and theories expounded in a wide range, the paper tried to build the definition, principles, objectives, patterns of "question-based teaching approach" and carried out practice on the new courses teaching as well as exercises teaching. In training students awareness of the problem, innovative thinking, personality development, compared with the conventional teaching, there are obviously good effects.
