| "Education is the foundation for building the country; people are the source of power."As an important part of quality education, how to improve PE education is a question deserving our attention and thought. Physical education is open to all students. It plays an irreplaceable role in students'moral and intellectual education, as well as other aspects of the comprehensive development of a person. So doing a good job in middle school PE teaching is an effective way of achieving quality education. It can be said that the development of physical education directly influences the PE work development of the school. For the sustainable development of physical education in middle schools in Xinji City, this thesis analyses the questions existing in the PE education of Xinji middle schools from different levels and angels, and develops corresponding measures. Through the analysis of the 27 middle schools investigated, we find the following results. PE teachers are relatively young, their school age is short, and they are relatively lack of experience in teaching. The teacher-student ratio does not conform to state regulations, and the number of female teachers is small. Academic qualifications and ranks are generally low. Computer level of the teachers is low. There is an increase in the number of teacher training. Research capability is relatively weak, and their research is mostly for short-term objectives. Teaching workload is heavy and pay is low. School leaders do not pay enough attention to PE education. There exists a serious shortage of sports facilities, stadiums, equipment, and PE appropriations are far less than the target set. The present PE teaching conditions in these schools deserve the attention of the education agency. In view of the present conditions, we get the conclusion that the attention of the leaders to PE education is the key to the problem. The leaders should try to develop correct views of talents and pay enough attention to the reform of PE teaching. They should make favorable policies for PE development. They should also hold PE teaching seminar regularly and increase their frequency of inspecting PE classes. Some other measures are as follows: arrange the teaching task and teacher's working load reasonably; arrange the proportion of teaching, research and training properly; increase the investment for PE development and the channels for raising funds; award the teachers in material and spirit according to their teaching results; provide better living and learning condition for the excellent teachers; increase the teachers'opportunity of furthering their study; recruit more teachers with higher academic qualifications; encourage teachers to adopt new teaching methods and so on. |
