This thesis is about the application and research of the situational language teaching method in teaching process in class. It focuses on applying situational language teaching to construct the atmosphere of English teaching,creating learning circumstance is one of English learning forms. Hoping to use the situational language teaching to improve the teachers'teaching methods and the students'marks, the author has also practiced the situational language teaching in her own class. Situational language teaching is to reappear to teaching materials by material object,wall picture,simplifies picture,acting,and multimedia. It is a teaching method to offer situation. It makes students gain more perceptual cognitions in full interests. In schools of English teaching,Situational language teaching's core is to stimulate students'affections.The author tries to study the situational language teaching in Junior English Class through theories and practice and offers how to put the theories into Junior English teaching practice. The results of the tests shows that the situational language teaching in Junior English class can improve the students'grades, and the results of the surveys shows the students are particularly interested in such classes.This paper puts forward some useful suggestions on how to help the teachers form the effective teaching strategies. According to these suggestions, teachers can practice the situational language teaching from two ways—the teachers'teaching and the students'learning in order to from the effective English class and improve the students'grades.The author tries to use the research means of literatures, comparison, and investigation to research into the theory and practice. Its aim is to improve the teaching qualities of the whole school and even the whole county and try to make it an example for the situational language teaching research in the whole county.
