Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Senior Middle School was issued in April 2003. In this paper, "reasoning and proving" was fixed a topic in domestic schools for the first time. So it becomes a necessary and urgent work to study the setting background, fixing instruction aim, instruction contents, implementation, evaluation etc, and to make a scientific, effective feasible instruction design.The thesis makes a commentary on "reasoning and proving", and then emphasize the important role of this chapter, as well as the need through the survey, interviews and documentation to find ways. Compared with America and Japan on Mathematics Curriculum Standards, we can gain enlightenment. Finally, I analysis the the structure, contents and characteristics of the preparation on "reasoning and proving" of the Jiangsu Education Publishing House version. And to prove that Reasoning and teaching materials for the design, the chapter on teaching and learning methods and strategies, and how to evaluate the combination of the case was discussed with a view to the curriculum reform to provide useful insights on the standard course materials or the provision of the proposed amendments to improve.
