Acadamy was a major educational organization of ancient China. It appeared in the Late Tang Dynasty. It learned the previous education and teaching experience from both public and private schools. Academy played a positive role in academic research, dissemination of culture, education and so on.The education of Acadamy was carried through in the ambitious language vision. The teaching content and form of Academy are worthy of reference of today's education.The education thought of Suzhou Acadamy had its own significant feature in the evolution, such as ignoring Imperial Examination, attaching importance to cultivation, promoting real learning, revitalizing academic and having autonomic and official characters. It was a precious legacy of the ancient education.The valuable parts of Suzhou Acadamy's education thought included educational concept of the first ethics, opening the door, promoting self-study in the context of discussing and the fine traditions of teaching. As the forefront of educational reform, Suzhou is in particular need to sum up the education and teaching experience in the past and raise both the inheritance and innovation in order to promote the current educational reform.
