The connotation of a sound personality is very varied. At present, not only primary and secondary school students, but also university students don't have sound personality, which mainly represents in: some students behaved cynical or sophisticated, who gained distorted personality for their own interest. There is no"sincere"heart in them, which is regarded as hypocritical. Others expressed their feeling too much (love abuse) or less (coldness and numbness). There is no natural emotion in them, which reflects the split personality, is unbeautiful.Developing a healthy personality should not only be made effort to open up channel, but also to seek the guidance of scientific theory. The Doctrine of the Mean provided various traditional cultural resources for perfect personality and it is not an ignored task to explore the existing traditional cultural resources. The moderation thought of the perfect personality showed its most importance mainly on three dimensions: ontology, methodology and level. So the core idea of Doctrine of the Mean should be guided to overcome the hypocrisy and split personality, so as to achieve the ultimate purpose of cultivating a sound personality. Of course its significance cannot be magnified unprincipled or dogmatically considered as the"Bible", nor should its negative role been ignored. Dialectical attitude should be taken with"moderate"way to look at the role in personal cultivation. Doctrine of the Mean is a product of the time. The ideal approach is to consider it as a philosophy of life: fitness is used, does not it away.
