Research On Public Spirit Cultivation Of College Students And Curriculum Integration

Public spirit is consciousness and performance of dedicating to improve public life and public order, which requires individual to receive an independent free social status, own a public sense, focus on the public interest and value and be willing to care and participate public affairs. In the process of pursuing it, the individual forms the basic morality and value orientation toward public interest. The public spirit's development has went through three steps in our country, which is hibernated and dissimilated in feudal society, got the excessive enthusiasm and fallacy from people in society dominated by politics, and be leaded into rational public perception. China now is standing on the turning point and marching into citizen's society, higher education need to pay attention to cultivating the students'public spirit which is the demand from development of society and students themselves. Related curriculum integration is the key channel helping cultivate the students'public spirit, From the opinion of me, the common kindness, independent personality, self-control and self-discipline, public enthusiasm and responsibility and social moral are the important training contents; integrating the public spirit education with humanist course, moral education courses, legal curriculum, computer courses and practice courses are the main guiding idea. Finally, the provision of good campus and society environment can't be neglected also.
