The new curriculum reform particularly cared about different students' needs, their individual differences, and called for the student-centered teaching concept in the teaching procedure. Students varied from each other in different aspects,how did teachers teach students in accordance with their aptitude? It had turned into the focus of people's attention widely. Research on individual differences also increase day by day, but most of the researches involved in scope of subjects which were extensive, research on individual differences which combined with one example of concrete subject which are less. Therefore, aiming at characteristic of the mathematics, the necessity to study students'individual differences, basing on cognitive style which reflected one of the most important causes of individual differences, displayed the effects for student's mathematical learning strategies with the intuitive statistics data and cases, and presented some suggestions for teaching.Part One, basing on analyzing the deficiencies traditional mathematical classroom teaching, we pointed out it was necessary to study students'individual differences and two reasons for it, aiming at incorrect cognition on mathematics study and the need of the new curriculum reform. The thesis made detailed description about the meaning of the research from qualification education,lifelong education,improvement of students' learning situation and teachers'teaching quality.Part Two and Part Three, basing on the number of literature material about cognitive style and mathematical learning strategy, we made generalization on correlative study of domestic and overseas. To make further research, the paper put forward to corresponding theoretical basis too.Part Four and Part Five, adopting the methods of interview and questionnaire made research, the subjects were 9th grade students in Jiangxi Province, according to the scores of Embedded Figures Test students were divided into FI and FD who took part in the investigation of mathematical learning strategy. The direct materials which were about the effects of cognitive style were acquired, we analyzed the reason for causing effects, drew corresponding conclusions, and put forward the methods optimization student's mathematics learning and improvement of teachers'teaching quality, according to modern cognitive psychology.
