The professional career is a person's professional experience, which is one of the most important experiences in the life of the person. IT is important to pursuit self-realization in a life stage and it is playing the decisive role to the life value. But the professional career development refers to the lapse of time and social development, Regardless of being engaged in any occupation, His professional career will continue to develop forward unceasingly. It contains professional needs and desires of the person, the professional attitude, the concept of choosing profession and the changing of the values. Through literature reach, surveys, interviews, mathematical statistics and logic analysis, and other research methods, has carried on the tracking investigation to the computer graduates of Baiyun institute, understand their employment and the development condition, in order to understand the characteristics, problems, conditions and constrains of the development of the IT person's professional career, and then put up with constructive suggestions to them.Drawing the following conclusion:1. The IT enterprise is the high intelligence intensity, innovates highly, the regional high degree of concentration enterprise. The IT staffs have the characteristics of high knowledge level, the youth oriented, and fluidity to be strong, the demand level to be high, work pressure to be high and so on.2. The employment directions and the employment patterns of the computer graduates develop toward multi-faceted and pluralistic direction, but the employer is enhancing unceasingly to graduate's request.3. The conditions of IT graduates' career development include the influences of college education and improvement of their technical skills.4. The barrier of the profession development's is unclear including the self-understanding, lacks the profession plan, the practice and beginning ability is bad, the further education opportunity lacks and so on several aspects.5. Career development is a systematic and dynamic managerial system, which is not a single one of the two activities can be resolved. There are needs from individuals, schools and enterprises to establish a career system.
