In the 21st century, the competition of international economy and overall national strength depends on the competition of human resources. A talent qualified for this new era needs to be equipped with scientific accomplishment and cooperative spirit, have the ability for research and lifelong study, and be able to relate theory with practice. Of all these requirements, which are mentioned in the new curriculum standards, a survey has been conducted on how to improve the scientific accomplishment of biology, whose concept is first analysed so as to state that the gap between the students in and abroad mainly lies in the ability to analyse and solve problems, and the ability to connect knowledge, skills with social effects. The author intends to achieve this aim through experiment teaching approach. After analysing the current teaching contents of biology experiments, the author, according to the assessing standards of the new curriculum, tries to construct a complete assessing system of biology experiment teaching in three aspects, that is knowledge, ability and emotion, so as to instruct students' experiment learning, promote the process of experiment teaching, and thus improve students' scientific accomplishment of biology. The author conducted a research theoretically and practically in four senior grade one classes of Jiangsu Province Changshu High School in a period of two years, thus creating a series of practical strategies of experiment teaching, suggesting different teaching methods for different teaching contents to achieve the most effective teaching quality. Of the teaching designs and strategies, the author proposes a couple of measures, for example, in the teaching process teachers should encourage students' imagination and respect their creativity, and a timely assessment and feedback is necessary. A questionnarie for students, as well as the analysis of the results of Academic Proficiency Test and Biology Olympiad, indicates that experiment teaching in senior grades is not a a waste of time and energy, but a necessity to improve students' scientific accomplishments of biology, cultivate students' ability of analysing and solving problems, and enable students to be a lifelong learners. Some breakthroughs in theoretical and practical researches of last two years have been included in the last section of the subject, as well as some weaknesses in the researches, such as teachers' teaching ability, difference of students' ability, and the incompletion of the assessing system. There is a long way to go in the study of experiment teaching approach, requiring both theoretical exploration and practical trials.
