Content: This paper mainly studies the specific application of the multi- representation in physics teaching. A thorough study on the multi-representation has been made in foreign countries, and it has obtained some achievements especially on the research of multi- representation concerned about physics problems, while there is less researches on it in china, we studied mainly on the two subjects of mathematics and chemistry. The comprehension on multi-representation of different subjects is different.On the basis of concepts epurated and concluded by solving the problems of chemistry, mathematics and physics, taking the cognitive flexibility theory of information processing theory, this paper proposes the significance, necessity and the specific application of multi-representation in physics teaching, and attempts to frame the bridge between the physics problems solving of cognitive and teaching perspectives, to gradually integrate the theoretical research of cognitive psychology and practical operation of physics teaching, with a expectation that the thought of multi-representation and teaching method could be infiltrated in specific physics teaching, so as to offer some enlightenment and guidance for cultivating students'problem-solving ability and creative thinking ability.
