The Study On The Offensive Ability Of Chinese Women's Basketball Guards In The 15th World Basketball Championship

The "core" and "soul" status of guard were established on the development characteristics of modern basketball movement.Meanwhile the team has given them greater missions and responsibilties.The guard' s ability of offensive and defensive and the performance of on-site played a decisive role in a competition.There were many studies on the competition ability of guards,but fewer on Chinese women' s basketall players,especially on the analysis of offensive ability of Chinese women' s basketball guards,and what' s more,there were many problems revealed in the latest World Basketball Championship.Therefore,the comprehensive analysis and study on the guards of Chinese women' s basketball which based on the 15th World Championship were necessary and urgent.The methods of present study including documentary investigation, inventory,video recording observation and statistics.The findings based on the indicators statistis of 15th World Championship as follows:First,the shooting guards of Chinese women' s basketball had responsible score means,high peruntage shoot and strong score power;point guards had relatively invariable score means,low peruntage shoot and low score. Although the shooting guards had strong ability of break,they must pay attention to reduce self-mistakes of break.Point guards must improve the quality and quantity of breakpass and the stability of break shoot also need further promotion.Second,the guards' ability of quickbreak organization and start was weaker.Compareing with the opponets and top 8,the difference of quantity of quickbreak were significant,especially on the point guards' the awareness of quickbreak,the time of quickbreak and the lower success rate.So it can not reflect the Asian style of "speed,smart and accurate". Third,the serious problem was that domestic players didn't control backboard very well,especially on the control of attacking half backboard.Comparing with the opponents and top 8,there were also other problems such as they scored lower attacking half backboard,had less awareness of conding net,did not have good judgement on the point of backboard to take off resonably to improve the ability of backboard recovery.Fourth,there were deficiencies and gaps on the ability of control between the domestic and abroad guards.It inculding the invariable way of pass, inaccurate pass time,mistakes of pass made by shooting guards and the less awareness of assistant by point guard named Song Xiaoyun. Fifth,most movements of hoding the ball especially pass and shooting by Chinese point guards were in the far-court and less effect on threatening and long shoot.The movements of non-ball in mid-court were less.The means of movement were invariable and the coordination among teamplayers were less effective.
