| carnitine is the only transport for long-chain fatty acid in the mitochondria membrane, which plays an important role in the process of energy metabolism. The energy metabolism of long-chain acid was a limited step of long-chain fatty acid oxidation.CPT-I was alimiting enzyme for catalyzing the transport of long-chain fatty acid in the mitochondria membrane CPT-I could, however,be a molecule that has important regulatory roles in adjusting lipid oxidation during exercise, but there has seldom reports about CPT-ImRNA expressionand and protein content in response to variations in exercise duration. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of the exercise (swimming) time on theCPT-I gene and protein expression in mice skeletal muscle, and the relationship between the expression of CPT-I and the plasma free fatty acid, plasma Leptin and insulin. The methodsof this study:CPT-Iexpression was measured after the same intensity swimming exercise at different times in mice quadriceps muscles of the C57 mice.90-minute swimming and exhausted swimming activated CPT-I in quadriceps muscles. The control group had none exercise.,the expression of CPT-ImRNAand proteinthe were measured, theplasma free fatty acid, plasma Leptin and insulin were also measured. The result of this study:1.90-minute and the exhausted swimming exercise resulted in a greater increase of muscleCPT-I expression compared with the control group, and the CPT-I expression was higher after exhaustive swimming than the 90-minute swimming.2 the plasma free fatty acid was elevated during exhaustive swimming, and there was a native correlation between the expression of CPT-I and plasma free fatty acid 3 the plasma Leptin was decented first, then elevated during exhaustive swimming 90-minute and the exhausted swimming exercise resulted in a greater decent of plasma Leptin compared with the control group, the plasma Leptin was higher after exhaustive swimming than the 90-minute swimmingThe conclusion of this study:the swimming exercise resulted in a greater increase of muscleCPT-I expression compared with the control group,The results suggested that the swimming exercise had effects on the skeletal muscle CPT-I expression;the plasma free fatty acid was elevated during exhaustive swimming;and the plasma Leptin was decented first, then elevated duringlong time exercise... |
