As a basic psychological factor that is supposed to be at everyone's disposal in their daily life, movement perception refers to a direct reflection by the human brains on the present motive objects as well as one's acts on the space characteristics and time characteristics. No matter in their daily activities or in their studies or in their fulfillment of motive movement skills, if a man wants to pull off precise and complicated motive operations, the involvement of sound movement perception is necessary. The enhancement of a man's movement perception ability is vital to the development and amelioration of various motive abilities of theirs', the enhancement of an athlete's movement perception ability plays an important part in the development of body reacting ability, movement coordination and the awareness to time and space of an athlete's.This paper chooses the influence of playing football on the development of youngsters'movement perception ability as the research center; four middle schools in the Changchun Municipality including the 8th Middle School of Changchun Municipality, the 11th Senior Middle School of Changchun Municipality, the Experimental School of Jilin Province and the 2nd Middle School of Changchun Municipality are picked out. The research takes high-level middle school students, who have a training period of 5-6 years, and have already claimed the title of second-degree athletes, low-level middle school students, who have a training period of 1-2 years and ordinary middle school students as its objects (In the echelon-separating process, certain criterion has been employed). 10 students are marked out by drawing lots from every school and every group, with a total number of 120 and four types of project experiments are conducted, including depth perception, perception of kinesthetic sensation orientation, perception of velocity and limen of visual perception. The movement perception abilities of footballers at different levels are compared and analyzed by collecting relevant documents and materials, interviewing experts, making experimental comparisons, acquiring mathematical statistics and conducting logical analysis, thus the following embryonic conclusions are drawn:Firstly, there is a very stark difference between the high-level middle school footballers and ordinary middle school students in terms of the abilities of depth perception, velocity perception, kinesthetic sensation orientation perception and visual perception limen.Secondly, there is a very stark difference between the high-level middle school footballers and their low-level counterparts in terms of velocity perception ability; there is a stark difference in terms of the abilities of depth perception and kinesthetic sensation orientation perception and there is no difference in limen of visual perception.Thirdly, there is a stark difference between the low-level middle school footballers and ordinary middle school students in terms of velocity perception ability and there are no significant differences in terms of depth perception, kinesthetic sensation orientation perception and visual perception limen.
