As is known, Reading Teaching plays an important role in Chinese teaching of primary and middle schools, and it's the main carrier of Chinese teaching. However, in a long period, most of the Chinese teachers spend much time on analyzing the text, the students just sit there to listen and take notes. Afterward, Quality Education calls on regarding the students as the subject of study, lots of teacher begin changing their teaching methods, from keeping speaking to keeping asking in the whole class. Leaving aside the effects, in fact, the teachers still control their students by the thoughts of their own or the reference books. Nevertheless, the new Curriculum Standards of Chinese clearly state, reading is an individual action, teachers can't take the place by analyzing. Therefore, it's necessary for us to make a deep research on the nature of comprehension reading.Psychological study method is applied to study the problem. Firstly, the author summaries the definitions about Comprehension Reading which comes from different psychologists of different periods, and finds out that the attention to comprehension the text has transferred to the important role of the readers' prior knowledge. The author also finds out that these two ideas can complement each other, and influence the reading effect together. Secondly, the author analyzes five kinds of different modes of Comprehension Reading, the five kinds of models include Gough Model, Goodman Model, Interactive Model, Schema Theory Model and Pattern Information Processing Model, all of them illustrate the process of Comprehension Reading is also the process of both personal and social construction. Thirdly, the author applies Mayer's points about Comprehension Reading to detailed analyze the individual construction. At the same time, applies Reciprocal Teaching Theory's point about social construction to analyze the communication between the teachers and the students. Finally, in order to offer some beneficial help to promote the implement of reading teaching, based on the constructive nature of the comprehension reading, the author summaries the definition of Chinese teaching and tries to give some advice .
