On The Cultivation Of University Spirit During The Construction Of Harmonious Campus

In the period of building a socialist harmonious society,university as an important component of the whole society system,to promote the building of a harmonious campus is very important.University spirit is the soull of harmonious campus.Building a harmonious campus must actively cultivate the University spirit.In today's social transition period,due to market factors,political factors and the University's own internal factors,University spirit of China's university campuses are gradual weakening,which are very negative to the personal cultivation and long-term development of university students.Considering the current needs of the harmonious campus construction and the call of remodeling the University spirit,to study the cultivation and construction of the modern university spirit has a strong academic and practical value.In this paper,first of all,the basic theory of the university spirit is outlined,and the the spirit of the university is defined as "dominated by a certain concept, through the efforts of the University people,a long-term accumulation of a stable, common pursuit of the ideals and beliefs,is the source of the University vitality,is the essence and the core of university culture,and play a decisive role in guiding the ideology-orientation of University students."University spirit mainly includes human spirit,scientific spirit,critical spirit,creative spirit,the spirit of social concern. University spirit functions in terms of norm-orientation,coherence, incentive-driven,environment creation,and development promotion.In this paper,then it is demonstrated the relation of the cultivation of university spirit and harmonious campus construction,discussed that the university spirit of the original meaning is harmonious spirit,and the most critical way to construct a harmonious campus is cultivation of university spirit..Harmonious campus calls for the return of the university spirit.University spirit maintains the harmonious development of the campus.On the basis of the above,this paper analyses the problems occurred in university spirit cultivation when building a harmonious campus and theroot causes. It is thought that the current problems of University spirit is the lack of the humanistic spirit;the disappearance academic autonomy and academic freedom in school running;blindly one-sided scientific spirit;the obstacle to innovation spirit.Its root causes are as follows:school running philosophy,the existing concept of personnel cultivation,and the current management systems all have suppressed the cultivation of theUniversity spirit.Finally,this paper put forward ideas and strategies on how to build University spirit in harmonious campus construction:to promote the school running concept of university autonomy,and to coordinate the relationship between government's macroeconomic management guidance and the school's management by law;to advocate the university nature of academic freedom,to construct harmonious campus by interacting truth pursuit and social adaptation;to focus on the core values of humanistic concern,to construct harmonious campus by combining the scientific spirit and humanistic spirit;to pursuit harmonious education while reserving different characteristics,to construct harmonious campus by following the commons and maintaining the ideal target of individuals.
