A Study On The Core Competence Of Adult High Education Institutions

As a carrier of adult education, the adult college is becoming more and more important nowadays, and it has made great contributions to our social policies, economics, cultures , ecologic constructions and so on. At present, in our country it hasbecome an important issue in the practice and theory of adult education.This thesis is divided into four sections.The first part also the preface illustrating the purpose, significance of this study and describing the current situation of the adult colleges' core competence; The second part summarizing and commenting some concepts related in the thesis; The third partexpounding the great significance of cultivating and promoting the core competence of adult colleges, concluding that it will be advantadge in safegarding the adullt colleges' quality, enhancing the adult colleges' social function which exerting effectively, promoting the adult colleges' strategic status and enhancing the adult colleges' social credibility. As the key part, the last part mainly discussing the strategies to cultivate and promote the core competence of the adult colleges. It mainly consisting of two segments, the first segment discussing the basic principles to cultivate and promote the core competence of adult colleges, including the principle of integrating theory with practice, the principle of market-oriented and so on. the second segment analysizing the strategies to promote the core competence of adult colleges, related to the changing of concepts, personal training and so on .The thesis is based on pedagogics, economics and sociologies, using some basic study methods. Such as literature , analysis , interviews. As for the innovation of this study. first, it introduces the concept "core competence" to the adult education field, second, it provides some strategies to cultivate and promote the core competence of adult colleges.
