With the development of society and with the close communication of economic and cultural in all ethnic groups,the minority urgently hope that they could become expert in use of nationwide Chinese.Every ethnic group begins to concern on their long-term interests.They not only want to master their own language,but also want to through learning Chinese to make them known the most advanced scientific knowledge and technology.So that they could keep in step with the economic development and achieve modernization.Today we promote development of the bilingual education in compulsory education stage in minority area.The key element to implement and promote bilingual teaching is professional development for bilingual teachers in the elementary and secondary schools.American is a multicultural and multinational country,the language is also diversiform.American has a centuries-old history of bilingual education,so they have fashioned their own feature of bilingual teachers training.This dissertation has introduced and analyzes the training mode of the pre-service and the in-service bilingual teachers.We want to benefit from their feature to the minority bilingual teacher training mode,in order to solve our problems.This dissertation falls into three parts.The first part focus on introduce the background and purpose of the research.It is gives an overview of the documents both at home and abroad.Then it is analyzes the relative concepts of American bilingual teacher training.And it indicates the research methods applied by this paper.The second part first analyzes the America bilingual education policy.It indicates that the laws ensure the American bilingual teacher training.Then it takes the point of view apart from training purpose,mode,institution etc to represent the basic situation of American bilingual teacher training.And through analyze the actuality to elicit the worthy experience.The third part first introduces the actual situation of our minority bilingual teacher training.Then on the basis of analyze the problem we have,according to the American advanced experience,it put forward the enlightenment to our country.
