In reality, amateur and youth are inclined to the form of mini-football. Now mini-football has become to popular sports and entertainment all over the world. At present, the university football is usually divided into classroom teaching and extra-curricular these two major categories in our province. It mainly is eleven-a-side skills, tactics, rules of game-based in classroom teaching, and games students self-organized in extra-curricular activities. But current prevalence of a large number of students at school and shortage of football pitches has become bottleneck of university football development. In recent years, university students like to organize extra-curricular at 5 to 5 or 7 to 7 games. Exciting and intense competition attract a lot of viewers, this form of competition has been more and more popular to university students.National School Sport Work Conference was held in Beijing in December 23, 2006. At present, it mainly taught eleven-a-side skills, tactics, rules of game-based in classroom teaching, and games students self-organized in extra-curricular activities in our province. University Football Teaching has become to enhance the physical fitness and capacity-building from simple technology for many years. But at today stage it is still in fact technology-based teaching. The reason is the old order system has not yet to improve. Because of lack of fun, students enjoy football but do not want to exercise on a simple technique teaching football lesson. Purely technical-centered teaching methods and extra-curricular activities students enjoy ways inconsistent. It is the main problem in teaching. In this article, it researches and investigates the situation of small and medium-sized football in colleges and universities in Shandong Province, as well as university football. It adopts literature, expert interviews, questionnaire method, as well as mathematical statistics research methods these five kinds. Some universities students include non-sports professional students and some physical education professional students in Shandong Province as object, some football teacher and football experts have been interview on the status of mini-football and carry out a more comprehensive investigation and analysis, drew the following conclusions:(1)In recent years, football has always been a prefer sport of people, especially students. Majority of students involved in football with great enthusiasm. Because of the large number of university students, limited resources, and their own skills not high, these factors enable students have fewer opportunities to participate in 11-a-side football game which to some extent limit their enthusiasm.(2)University students activate in football sport after-school time mainly is fewer people and smaller form of mini-football. This is the result of student self-selection. Football teachers should be responsive to this situation, and increase mini-football teaching and training efforts in the elective course, transfer the right concept of mini-football to students to allow students to participate in football activity better.(3)At present, the elective football class of universities in Shandong Province existing problems such as large number of students, not easy to manage, the contents not variety, lack of interesting and so on. Students select elective football class, to a certain extent on the hope that their football skills for restructuring and more involved in football activity. However, because of football elective hours are limited and a large number of students, teaching basic skills mode is no longer fit the needs of students. They are more eager to pleasure the content, a richer content football teaching mode.(4)Because of space reasons, the universities present organize less football game after-school, this makes overwhelming majority of football fans think there are lack scope for their abilities, to a certain extent it affects their enthusiasm to participate in football. (5)At present, the management of sports field of universities needs to be strengthened. In weekend many out-of-school staff occupied the place of University, sometimes occupancy position makes school students can only play out of the field.
