| The modern learning theories point out that the process of learning is the process of interaction between the individual and the environment,emphasizing the importance of learning environment for learning.With the development of virtual reality technology and the Internet,Web3D technology came into being,for the characteristics of 3I,low-cost and ease of use, it have a wide application prospect in building good learning environments.Aiming at the shortcomings of current virtual learning environment such as weak sense of immersion,visual fatigue easily,unmeaning user interface image,emotion missing,it is an effective solution to use the technology of Web3D to design virtual learning environment and create Web3D virtual learning environment.Second Life is a virtual world based on Web3D technology, it can effectively support the creation of the learning environment with its characteristics and its secondary development function.This research begins with analysis of the constituent elements of the learning environment,and explores the virtual learning environment design based on a detailed introduction of Second Life,wishing to play the role of pioneer on design and application of Web3D virtual learning environment, and look forward to cause domestic scholars' concerns on the education application of Second Life.This paper has four parts.Chapter 1 briefly introduces the problem raised in the research,the status of research at home and abroad,and the content,purpose,significance of the research.In Chapter 2,the author firstly analyzed the learning environment,and then expatiated on the characteristics and composition of Web3D virtual learning environment.In Chapter 3,the author gives an overview of the theoretical basis of the design of Web3D virtual learning environment,and summarized the guiding meaning of these theories for learning environment design.Chapter 4 is the main body of this paper.In this part,the author briefly introduce second life,analyzing its value in education,and explain how to use it,then starting from the five elements of learning environment(learning situation,learning resources, supporting tools,learning communities,learning activities), detailedly expatiates on specific content of the design of learner-orientated learning environment,proposes a set of design project and put it into use with Specific cases. |
