The art of leading-in language means teachers' applying teaching languages combined creativeness and unique style in the teacher and students' teaching activities in 3-5 minutes at the beginning of a classroom teaching or before imparting new knowledge.It has three characters:affect,creativeness and esthetics.Leading-in language endowed with art in the English teaching can encourage and enhance inside learning motivation.For many years,we have been exploring how to trigger the students' interests in English and enhance the efficiency of teaching and have been seeking different kinds of approaches of optimizing the process of class teaching,but we paid more attention to imparting new knowledge to students and to training their ability of using English than to triggering their interests in English.Many students think that they are forced to study English for different examinations.As a result,teachers try their best to improve students' ability of using English,but obtain fewer results.So,the writer thinks teachers should begin their teaching with "triggering and arousing" the students' interests.They should try to attract students by language arts and find a proper way of leading-in.In this way, the students' interests can gradually be led to the teaching contents.So they can take an active part in the teaching activities,put their heart into the class and study the new lesson easily and naturally master the new knowledge and improve their ability of using English.When teachers are preparing leading-in,they should do it in different ways based on the teaching contents,students' individual characters and the teachers' own predominance.They must have a general idea of what to teach first and how to begin or continue and what to say first.This thesis explores the art of leading-in language in senior high school English teaching.The writer tries to find out how to trigger the students' interest in English learning and how to optimize the class teaching process so that an efficient way of enhancing the teaching efficiency can be found out.In order to confirm this research,the writer designed a questionnaire on teachers' commitments;180 testees were from my classes in Xinning NO.1 Senior High School.The result indicates that the requests on teachers' accent,teachers' spoken language,and teachers' body language are raised in high schools:1) Teachers should have a good sense of humor;2) Teachers should have excellent oral English and beautiful accent;3) Teachers should have the ability to keep the lessons interesting, and help the students love English.So,we can conclude that the art of leading-in language play a big part in English classrooms.The writer attempts to use different ways to lead in the new lesson and try to lead the students in actively participating in class teaching. Some suggestions on how to improve the art level of leading-in language are put forward:1) Teachers should have more reading about diverse language materials;2) Teachers should be proficient in oral English;3) Teachers should understand the mental characteristics and needs of each student.
