Mahjong·Leisure

This paper takes example to a village called Yongxing in northern Jiangxi province. The author tries to take the breakthrough point by mahjong which is the entertainment form in villagers' leisure life .Through the situation which mahjong activity was developed in the different historical stage in the village inhabitant's leisure life, this paper makes effort to explain growth process of the farmer's public life as well as the formation path of the public life space .According to enhanced farmer living standard , the changed ideological recognition and the intensity the country controls the village society fluctuated, this article reveals the farmer's public life space in the village society's growth has experienced from the blank, quietly, the growth, the vigorous these four stages. According to village society's intrinsic movement rule and movement logic, it analyzes that the formation of the fanner public life space plays a role to the village order maintenance and construction. It further ponders the connection between the village intrinsic strength and the democratized government in the village. Simultaneously, according to the present situation of farmer's leisure life , the author proposes the ponderation of pursuing self-understanding and self-perfection for the individual.
