Mahjong As A Way Of Life

Playing mahjong is very common in Chongqing.Mahjong and hot pot often appear together in films with Chongqing as the background,which has become a typical regional symbol.Based on the universality of playing mahjong in Chongqing,this paper aims to complete the case practice of taking mahjong as the life style of people in a specific region,combing the relationship between mahjong and interpersonal communication to present a life style of today's urban people from the perspective of folklore research on daily life.In this paper,y street in Chongqing is selected as the field point,and the field survey method and literature research method are used as the research methods.The thesis is divided into five parts:preface includes the origin and significance of the research,research review and research methods.The first chapter describes the mahjong atmosphere in Chongqing and the Y street,which shows that mahjong is a very popular regional entertainment in Chongqing.The second chapter describes the behavioral differences and causes of the three generations of old,middle-aged and young mahjong players in Chongqing,as well as the spatial and temporal choices of playing mahjong.The third chapter analyzes the relationship between mahjong and people's interpersonal communication,which can be divided into profit-seeking social communication and non profit-seeking social communication.The fourth chapter shows Chongqing People's views on mahjong,and analyzes the contradictions between words and deeds of middle-aged mahjong lovers.The conclusion shows that mahjong is an urban lifestyle for Chongqing people to maintain communication.Compared with the previous research on mahjong,this paper has two innovations.First,mahjong as a way of life to study.Mahjong has always been presented in the public field of vision in the form of gambling,but for many Chongqing people playing mahjong is not equal to losing their money and their families.In parallel with the gambling color of mahjong,mahjong entertainment plays an obvious role in the construction and maintenance of people's interpersonal communication.In particular,urban residents generally have working and leisure time,which can make them carry out mahjong entertainment in a planned way,and playing mahjong has become a part of their daily life;In modern society,people have strong mobility,fewer opportunities to meet friends and acquaintances,and people can achieve interpersonal communication while playing mahjong.Second,the entertainment of playing mahjong should be studied from the perspective of the city.In recent years,urban folklore has been mentioned by the academic circles,but the attention of folklore to urban people's life is still insufficient.Under the premise of the rapid development of today's society,the pace of urbanization is speeding up,more and more people enter the city.Folklore should give more attention to urban people's life by giving full play to the discipline characteristics that attach importance to individual life and feelings.
